Claverack Service Station is a family owned repair station. We have been in business since 1976 selling, repairing and servicing cars and trucks.
My Dad started off his career in a Chevrolet dealership, Milroy Chevy, and was a huge Chevy fan. Chevelle's, El Camino's, Nova's, everything he drove had to be way too fast and ridiculously loud or else he would sell it. While he was at his shop us boys were busy racing motocross and working on farm. Eat, sleep, work, race. Every bit of our money we made went to gas and parts, and it was a great time.
When it was time for me to graduate, I did what any kid does, I rebelled and decided I was going to work on foreign cars. My first car was a VW bug and I drove it to a European shop and worked on BMW's, Porsche's, VW's and Audi's. I had tons of fun ribbing my Dad about his old fashioned American cars and their drum brakes and hydraulic valves, and he would just laugh and tell me to enjoy my Bosch fuel systems, Lucas electronics, and repair prices.
He loved Dale Earnhardt, I mean, in a big way. So of course my favorite driver was Michael Schumacher, of Ferrari. We had great debates about all things car related and had a lot of great times with it. I had to drop it for awhile to join to Military service.
He was in the Army so of course I joined the Marines.
My Dad never stopped taking great care of his friends every day he owned our shop. I honestly think he never had a customer, he enjoyed and made friends with everyone who came through our door. We're proud to carry on the traditions he left us, taking great care of the people who come through our door, making our community a better place, and serving their needs. We hope to see you soon and please come by and see all his racing displays anytime.
Thank you,
Chuck, Cindy and Tyler
